Dion Heap, the owner of Lazerlight, is a qualified electrician, also ex Royal Air Force electronics technician. His family have been involved in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, and in the year 2000, Dion took over is own public house.

Disillusioned with not only the availability, but the quality of DJ/entertainers available, he started to teach himself the necessary skills, soon reaching a level where he is widely recognised up and down the country. Dion has also regularly provided consultations to a number of disco/entertainment equipment manufacturing companies. One of which was to recently co host a seminar on VJ'ing (using video and visualisations as well as music) at a trade show held at the UK's Castle Donnington.

He is the author of several published articles on this subject, as well as being a part of the consultation team on one of the highest regarded VJ'ing software packages, VirtualDJ. He is also involved with the testing of new laser effects for a medium sized import company.
